EXPLANATIONS BELOW
Concept note-1: -For purposes of reparation or punishment after hostilities, aggression has been defined in international law as any use of armed force in international relations not justified by defensive necessity, international authority, or consent of the state in which force is used.
Concept note-2: -This commentary interprets the Convention’s 85 articles clearly and precisely. It covers such major topics as reservations to treaties, their interpretation and the grounds for terminating a treaty, for instance breach. Emphasis is placed on the practice of States and tribunals and on academic writings.
Concept note-3: -The area or surface on which a state leads to or tends to exercise its own sovereign or supreme authority/power is termed as state territory. A state territory basically comprises of its surface underneath subsoil, land territory, national water space, national air space, territorial waters over the territory.
