Concept note-1: -The Sino-Japanese War was fought between the Empire of Japan and Qing dynasty China from 1894 to 1895. It was a conflict over control of Korea and Manchuria and resulted in a decisive victory for Japan.
Concept note-2: -Beyond 1938, the Sino-Japanese war reached a virtual stalemate. China’s geographical size, her lack of infrastructure and scattered pockets of resistance all helped to slow the Japanese advance. By 1940, the Japanese controlled the entire north-eastern coast and areas up to 400 miles inland.
Concept note-3: -Origins of the War in Asia World War II began on July 7, 1937-not in Poland or at Pearl Harbor, but in China.
