Why did many business owners support the growth of American involvement in foreign affairs in the early 1900s?

Concept note-1: -Entrepreneurs became the driving force behind the innovation that launched the first industrial revolution and those after. Their inventions ushered in the industrial age, often allowing companies to scale their production and become exponentially more efficient.

Concept note-2: -How did big businesses shape the American economy in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s? They used railroads to transport their goods and expand their businesses across the country, which helped increase their profit, therefore making America one of the most economically powerful countries in the world.

Concept note-3: -Many factors promoted industry, including cheap labor, new inventions and technology, and plentiful raw materials. Railroads rapidly expanded. Government policies encouraged growth, and large corporations became an important part of the economy.

Concept note-4: -In their capital, size, and sophisticat on of operations, railroads were the biggest businesses of the nineteenth century. The growth of railroads was aided immensely by the tele-graph, which was invented in 1844.
