Concept note-1: -The Axis Powers were the coalition led by Germany, Italy, and Japan during World War II. They opposed the Allied Powers, consisting mainly of Great Britain, France, the United States, the Soviet Union, and China.

Concept note-2: -The Axis powers (Germany, Italy, Japan) were opposed by the Allied Powers (led by Great Britain, the United States, and the Soviet Union). Five other nations joined the Axis during World War II: Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, and Croatia.

Concept note-3: -France was a part of the Allied countries and not a part of the Axis powers during the second world war.

Concept note-4: -Axis powers, coalition headed by Germany, Italy, and Japan that opposed the Allied powers in World War II.
