EXPLANATIONS BELOW
Concept note-1: -President Franklin Delano Roosevelt created emergency relief agencies, such as the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) and the Works Progress Administration (WPA), to address the severe economic problems of the early 1930s.
Concept note-2: -The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) was a voluntary government work relief program that ran from 1933 to 1942 in the United States for unemployed, unmarried men ages 18–25 and eventually expanded to ages 17–28. The CCC was a major part of President Franklin D.
Concept note-3: -Most of the enrollees for the CCC were from rural areas where unemployment was often the worst, and they were often uneducated and unskilled. The WPA was more generally targeted towards cities and towns, though it did complete work in some rural areas as well.
Concept note-4: -The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), established by Congress on March 31, 1933, provided jobs for young, unemployed men during the Great Depression. Over its 9-year lifespan, the CCC employed about 3 million men nationwide.
