Concept note-1: -Militarism is the belief or the desire of a government or a people that a state should maintain a strong military capability and to use it aggressively to expand national interests and/or values.

Concept note-2: -militarism in American English 2. the glorification or prevalence of such a spirit, attitudes, etc. in a nation, or the predominance of the military caste in government. 3. the policy of maintaining a strong military organization in aggressive preparedness for war.

Concept note-3: -Militarism is a belief or system where the military is exalted and its needs and considerations are given excessive importance or priority. Militarism was a powerful force in 19th and early 20th century Europe.

Concept note-4: -M Militarism-this was where countries built up their armies. Each country tried to compete to build the biggest army. This created a lot of rivalry and tension and it made countries suspicious of each other. They wanted to test their armies and prove they were the best in a war.

Concept note-5: -Militarism is when the government extensively promotes and develops the country’s military for aggressive use against any enemies. In such a society, the military plays a central role in the government, if not the predominant role. North Korea, the Soviet Union and Sparta are three examples of militaristic societies.
