Concept note-1: -Point 14 sought to establish an international organization that would promote peace between nations known as the League of Nations. Wilson believed that if countries of the world came together to discuss their problems, future conflicts could be avoided through diplomacy.

Concept note-2: -Wilson also made proposals that would ensure world peace in the future. For example, he proposed the removal of economic barriers between nations, the promise of “self-determination” for oppressed minorities, and a world organization that would provide a system of collective security for all nations.

Concept note-3: -In the speech, Wilson directly addressed what he perceived as the causes for the world war by calling for the abolition of secret treaties, a reduction in armaments, an adjustment in colonial claims in the interests of both native peoples and colonists, and freedom of the seas.

Concept note-4: -Summary of the Fourteen Points Diplomacy shall be open to the world. International seas shall be free to navigate during peace and war. There shall be free trade between the countries who accept the peace. There shall be a worldwide reduction in weapons and armies by all countries.
