(A) credits given by a defeated country after a war, for all the deaths, damage, etc., it has caused.

(B) ** *money paid by a defeated country after a war, for all the deaths, damage etc., it has caused.

EXPLANATIONS BELOW

Concept note-1: -Reparations are sums of money that are paid after a war by the defeated country for the damage and injuries it caused in other countries. They accepted billions of dollars in war reparations.

Concept note-2: -reparations, a levy on a defeated country forcing it to pay some of the war costs of the winning countries. Reparations were levied on the Central Powers after World War I to compensate the Allies for some of their war costs.

Concept note-3: -Following the ratification of article 231 of the Treaty of Versailles at the conclusion of World War I, the Central Powers were made to give war reparations to the Allied Powers. Each of the defeated powers was required to make payments in either cash or kind.

Concept note-4: -: the act of making amends, offering expiation, or giving satisfaction for a wrong or injury. : something done or given as amends or satisfaction.

Concept note-5: -After World War II both West Germany and East Germany were obliged to pay war reparations to the Allied governments, according to the Potsdam Conference. Other Axis nations were obliged to pay war reparations according to the Paris Peace Treaties, 1947. Austria was not included in any of these treaties.
