Concept note-1: -Savannah, Brunswick played an important role in Liberty ship construction. During World War II, 173 Liberty ships were launched at Savannah and Brunswick. The ships delivered supplies to America’s allies.

Concept note-2: -The greater Savannah community was greatly involved in wartime production through the conversion of the Port of Savannah into a military cargo port for Lend-lease goods and the development of wartime industries manufacturing paper, asphalt, naval ships, and much more.

Concept note-3: -SAVANNAH & BRUNSWICK SHIPYARDS bombers the port cities of Savannah and Brunswick manufactured 180 “Liberty Ships”. These US naval ships helped the US win World War II, and they also provided thousands of jobs for Georgia citizens along the coast.
