Concept note-1: -The War Industries Board (WIB) existed from July 1917 to December 1918 to coordinate and channel production in the United States by setting priorities, fixing prices, and standardizing products to support the war efforts of the United States and its allies.

Concept note-2: -The board was led initially by Frank A. Scott, who had previously been head of the General Munitions Board. He was replaced in November by Baltimore and Ohio Railroad president Daniel Willard. Finally, in January 1918, the board was reorganized under the leadership of financier Bernard M.

Concept note-3: -Woodrow Wilson appointed Bernard Baruch to head the War Industries Board to coordinate production of war material during World War I.

Concept note-4: -The War Industries Board (WIB) was created by President Woodrow Wilson in July 1917. It was intended to help the U.S. prepare for World War I by increasing industrial production and coordinating the purchase of war materials by the Army and the Navy.

Concept note-5: -The War Industries Board (WIB) was one of the first United States government agencies established during WWI. The War Industries Board was created on July 28, 1917 to coordinate the production of war materials and the purchase of war supplies.
