EXPLANATIONS BELOW
Concept note-1: -The first atomic bomb, named Little Boy, was dropped on Hiroshima from the Enola Gay, a B-29 bomber, at 8:15 AM on August 6, 1945. The second bomb, named Fat Man, was dropped on Nagasaki from the Bockscar, also a B-29 bomber, at 11:02 AM on August 9, 1945.
Concept note-2: -The Americans dropped two atomic bombs on Japan on 6 and 9 August 1945. They largely destroyed the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and the bombs killed nearly 84, 000 people in Hiroshima and 40, 000 people in Nagasaki.
Concept note-3: -US dropped the first Atom bomb in Japan, in Hiroshima. In 1945, the United States becomes the first and only nation to use atomic weaponry during wartime when it drops an atomic bomb on the Japanese city of Hiroshima.
Concept note-4: -The two atomic bombs dropped on Japan in 1945 killed and maimed hundreds of thousands of people, and their effects are still being felt today. By the end of 1945, the bombing had killed an estimated 140, 000 people in Hiroshima, and a further 74, 000 in Nagasaki.
Concept note-5: -Little Boy fell almost six miles in 43 seconds before detonating at an altitude of 2, 000 feet. The bomb exploded with the force of more than 15, 000 tons of TNT directly over a surgical clinic, 500 feet from the Aioi Bridge.
