Concept note-1: -The Nuremberg trials addressed all German crimes associated with World War II together, not the Holocaust in particular. In fact, at the time, the concept of the Holocaust as we now know it did not yet exist.
Concept note-2: -Verdict and Executions On October 1, 1946, the Tribunal convicted 19 of the defendants and acquitted three. Of those convicted, 12 were sentenced to death. Three defendants were sentenced to life imprisonment and four to prison terms ranging from 10 to 20 years.
Concept note-3: -Held for the purpose of bringing Nazi war criminals to justice, the Nuremberg trials were a series of 13 trials carried out in Nuremberg, Germany, between 1945 and 1949.
Concept note-4: -The Nuremberg Trials were trials held between 1945 and 1949 in which the Allies prosecuted German military leaders political officials industrialists and financiers for crimes they have committed during World War 2. Nazi leaders were charged with war crimes.
Concept note-5: -The Nuremberg Trials were held for the purpose of bringing Nazi war criminals to justice. The Nazi War Criminals killed 6 million european Jews and 4 to 6 million non-jews. The point of the trials was for the Nazi’s to be tried for their crimes not immediately executed.
