Concept note-3: -He sought to emphasize the historic nature of the events at Pearl Harbor, implicitly urging the American people never to forget the attack and memorialize its date. The term “day of infamy” has become widely used by the media to refer to any moment of supreme disgrace or evil.

Concept note-4: -Rationing involved setting limits on purchasing certain high-demand items. The government issued a number of “points” to each person, even babies, which had to be turned in along with money to purchase goods made with restricted items.
