Concept note-1: -World War I or the First World War, (28 July 1914 – 11 November 1918), often abbreviated as WWI, was one of the deadliest global conflicts in history.

Concept note-2: -World War I occurred between July 1914 and November 11, 1918. By the end of the war, over 17 million people would be killed including over 100, 000 American troops. The reason why war erupted is actually much more complicated than a simple list of causes.

Concept note-3: -The Treaty of Versailles, which officially ended World War I, was signed on June 28, 1919. The main authors of the treaty were the leaders of France, England, Italy and the United States. Germany and its former allies were not allowed to participate in the negotiations.

Concept note-4: -World War I, also called First World War or Great War, an international conflict that in 1914–18 embroiled most of the nations of Europe along with Russia, the United States, the Middle East, and other regions.

Concept note-5: -On Nov. 11, 1918, after more than four years of horrific fighting and the loss of millions of lives, the guns on the Western Front fell silent.
