Concept note-1: -The Bill of Rights is the first 10 Amendments to the Constitution. It spells out Americans’ rights in relation to their government. It guarantees civil rights and liberties to the individual-like freedom of speech, press, and religion.
Concept note-2: -Ten of these amendments became part of the U.S. Constitution in 1791 after securing the approval of the required three-fourths of the states. The Bill of Rights resolved one of the most glaring deficiencies of the new Constitution-preventing the government’s abuse of individual liberties.
