Concept note-1: -France, in order to protect itself from a future German attack, put forth the demands of reparations, demilitarization of the Rhineland region and the ‘ War Guilt Clause’ which put the blame of starting the war squarely on Germany’s shoulders.

Concept note-2: -The Treaty of Versailles led to World War II because its terms punished Germany harshly. The economy collapsed, the government lost power, the military was weak, and the Germans were angry.

Concept note-3: -Treaty of Versailles The treaty required that Germany pay a huge sum of money called reparations. The problem with the treaty is that it left the German economy in ruins. People were starving and the government was in chaos.
