Concept note-1: -Militarism is the belief or the desire of a government or a people that a state should maintain a strong military capability and to use it aggressively to expand national interests and/or values.
Concept note-2: -M Militarism-this was where countries built up their armies. Each country tried to compete to build the biggest army. This created a lot of rivalry and tension and it made countries suspicious of each other. They wanted to test their armies and prove they were the best in a war.
Concept note-3: -Militarism can variously be understood as: an ideology glorifying war; the propensity to use force; military buildup; excessive influence (of either the institution of the military or of the military–industrial complex (MIC)); or the influence of military relations on social relations in general.
Concept note-4: -Definition: Militarism is a belief in building up the nation’s military forces as the best way to increase the nation’s power and prestige in the world.
