Concept note-1: -The final payment was made on 3 October 2010, settling German loan debts in regard to reparations .

Concept note-2: -But most embarrassing of all was the punitive peace treaty Germany had been forced to sign. The Treaty of Versailles didn’t just blame Germany for the war-it demanded financial restitution for the whole thing, to the tune of 132 billion gold marks, or more than $500 billion today.

Concept note-3: -On Oct. 3, 2010, Germany finally paid off all its debt from World War One. The total? About 269 billion marks, or around 96, 000 tons of gold.

Concept note-4: -In 2010, ninety years after the Treaty of Versailles went into force, Germany finally paid off the last installment of its war debt.

Concept note-5: -The terms of the Treaty of Versailles Reparations-Germany was to be made to pay for the damage suffered by Britain and France during the war. In 1922 the amount to be paid was set at £6.6 billion.
