EXPLANATIONS BELOW

Concept note-1: -Presidents may remain in office for a tenure of five years, as stated by Article 56, part V, of the Constitution of India. In cases where a President’s term of office is terminated early, or during the absence of the President, the Vice President assumes office.

Concept note-2: -Article II, Section 1, Clause 1: The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America. He shall hold his Office during the Term of four Years, and, together with the Vice President, chosen for the same Term, be elected, as follows.

Concept note-3: -The President shall hold office for a term of five years from the date on which he enters upon his office.
