Concept note-1: -The Battle of Shiloh (also known as the Battle of Pittsburg Landing) was fought on April 6–7, 1862, in the American Civil War. The fighting took place in southwestern Tennessee, which was part of the war’s Western Theater.

Concept note-2: -On April 7, 1862, the Civil War’s Battle of Shiloh ended with a United States (Union) victory over Confederate forces in Pittsburg Landing, Tennessee. The two-day conflict was at that point the bloodiest battle in American history, with more than 23, 000 dead and wounded.

Concept note-3: -Bloody Pond at Shiloh National Military Park is located near the Peach Orchard, the scene of heavy fighting on both days of the battle.
