Concept note-1: -Moral diplomacy is the system in which support is given only to countries whose beliefs are analogous to that of the nation. This promotes the growth of the nation’s ideals and damages nations with different ideologies.

Concept note-2: -From Haiti, to the Dominican Republic, to Nicaragua, to Panama, to Cuba, Wilson intervened under the principles of ‘moral diplomacy’.

Concept note-3: -In 1913, President Wilson, who had criticized imperialism, introduced his “moral diplomacy” as the new direction of foreign policy.

Concept note-4: -The Dollar Diplomacy wanted to increase American investments in businesses and banks throughout Central America and the Caribbean, by substituting dollars for bullets. The Moral Diplomacy did not want to take any land by conquest, but ended up having the right to control Haiti’s financial and foreign affairs.

Concept note-5: -Lesson Summary In the end, moral diplomacy increased the U.S.’s direct military action in many countries and also greatly impacted the economy by manipulating situations in countries that were not democratic or those that held what Wilson viewed as morally corrupt values.
