Concept note-1: -The main objective of the league was to maintain of peace in the world, to establish a peaceful global order and ensure collective security and disarmament, “to develop cooperation among nations and to guarantee them peace and security.
Concept note-2: -The League of Nations (1920 – 1946) was the first intergovernmental organization established “to promote international cooperation and to achieve international peace and security”.
Concept note-3: -The League of Nations sought a formula for general disarmament by establishing administrative agencies within the Disarmament Sec-tion. It created the Permanent Advisory Commission on Military, Naval, and Air Questions (PAC) in May 1920 composed of military experts from nations on the Council.
Concept note-4: -The League of Nations was a international organization founded after the Paris Peace Conference, 1919. The League’s goals included disarmament, preventing war through collective security, settling disputes between countries through negotiation diplomacy and improving global welfare.
