EXPLANATIONS BELOW
Concept note-1: -Russia was expelled out of League of Nations for invading Finland and USA never joined the league, ironic because it was America who designed it and these were the two major countries who were not members of League of Nations.
Concept note-2: -Germany was not allowed to join the League in 1919. As Germany had started the war, according to the Treaty of Versailles, one of her punishments was that she was not considered to be a member of the international community and, therefore, she was not invited to join.
Concept note-3: -The United States never joined the League. Most historians hold that the League operated much less effectively without U.S. participation than it would have otherwise. However, even while rejecting membership, the Republican Presidents of the period, and their foreign policy architects, agreed with many of its goals.
Concept note-4: -Germany was not an original member of the League of Nations when it was established in 1920. Germany joined in 1926 and remained a member until Adolf Hitler withdrew the country from the League in 1933.
