Concept note-1: -On February 21, 1944, Hideki Tojo, prime minister of Japan, grabs even more power as he takes over as army chief of staff, a position that gives him direct control of the Japanese military.
Concept note-2: -Hideki Tojo (December 30, 1884-December 23, 1948) was a general of the Imperial Japanese Army, the leader of the Imperial Rule Assistance Association, and the 40th Prime Minister of Japan during most of World War II, from October 17, 1941 to July 22, 1944.
Concept note-3: -Hideki Tojo was a general in the Imperial Japanese Army who served as Japan’s prime minister from 1941 to 1944. He vocally supported Japanese expansion and a pre-emptive attack on the US and European colonial powers.
Concept note-4: -In 1909, Tojo married and had three sons and 1918 went to serve in Siberia as part of the Japanese expeditionary force to intervene in the Russian Civil War. He also served as military attaché to Germany until 1922.
