Concept note-1: -Following the U.S. declaration, Japan’s allies, Germany and Italy, declared war on the United States, bringing the United States fully into World War II.
Concept note-2: -Origins. Japanese expansion in East Asia began in 1931 with the invasion of Manchuria and continued in 1937 with a brutal attack on China.
Concept note-3: -On December 11, 1941, Germany and Italy declared war on the United States.
Concept note-4: -On December 11, 1941, Italy declared war on the United States in response to the latter’s declaration of war upon the Empire of Japan following the attack on Pearl Harbor four days earlier. Germany also declared war on the U.S. the same day.
