EXPLANATIONS BELOW

Concept note-1: -Henry Ford was an American inventor and business magnate and the founder of Ford Motor Company. He invented several vehicles, most famously the Model T automobile, and changed the auto industry forever by introducing the moving assembly line to car production.

Concept note-2: -Ford revolutionized the factory environment, creating an assembly-line system that vastly improved production efficiency. Now, instead of workers moving around to work on the parts, the factory was organized so that workers were stationary while the vehicle moved down an assembly line.

Concept note-3: -On December 1, 1913, Henry Ford installs the first moving assembly line for the mass production of an entire automobile. His innovation reduced the time it took to build a car from more than 12 hours to one hour and 33 minutes.

Concept note-4: -Ford was inspired by the meat-packing houses of Chicago and a grain mill conveyor belt he had seen. If he brought the work to the workers, they spent less time moving about. Then he divided the labor by breaking the assembly of the Model T into 84 distinct steps.
