Concept note-1: -The mainstream suffragists’ decision to focus on the nation’s needs during this time of crisis proved to help their cause. Their activities in support of the war helped convince many Americans, including President Woodrow Wilson, that all of the country’s female citizens deserved the right to vote.
Concept note-2: -The suffrage movement seemed stalled by the first decade of the 20th century. But World War I changed the dynamic and ultimately strengthened the suffrage movement.
