Concept note-1: -The Paris Peace Conference was held in France between Jan. 18, 1919 – Jan. 21, 1920 to finalize the peace between the Allied and Central Powers. Representatives of over 30 countries participated; however, Germany and the other Central Powers were not invited to attend.
Concept note-2: -Delegates from 32 countries met for the Versailles Conference (January 1919), but most decisions were made by ‘the Big Three’ – Georges Clemenceau, Prime Minister of France, Woodrow Wilson, President of America, and David Lloyd George, Prime Minister of Britain.
Concept note-3: -The Big Four Lloyd George and Clemenceau both wanted to blame Germany for the war, and they wanted to create a peace that ensured Germany’s inability to ever wage war again. Wilson also needed to convince the United States to go along with his plans.
