Concept note-1: -Disarmament is the act of giving away or taking away of weapons. The nations are continuously competing to gather military weapons and become a superpower. Military weapons are required to protect the nation. But it is the nation’s responsibility to avoid wars and promote the settling of disputes by peaceful means.
Concept note-2: -Disarmament is the act of reducing, limiting, or abolishing weapons. Disarmament generally refers to a country’s military or specific type of weaponry. Disarmament is often taken to mean total elimination of weapons of mass destruction, such as nuclear arms.
Concept note-3: -Arms control aims to limit the number of weapons and to regulate their use by virtue of bilateral or multilateral agreements or arrangements. Disarmament, on the other hand, aims at the elimination of entire weapon system categories.
