Concept note-1: -Economic distress and seething resentment of the treaty within Germany helped fuel the rise of Adolf Hitler and his Nazi Party, as well as World War II.

Concept note-2: -The document stripped Germany of 13 percent of its territory and one tenth of its population. The Rhineland was occupied and demilitarized, and German colonies were taken over by the new League of Nations. The German army was diminished to 100, 000 men and the country was forbidden to draft soldiers.

Concept note-3: -The Treaty of Versailles Punished Defeated Germany With These Provisions. Some disarmed the German military, while others stripped the defeated nation of territory, population and economic resources, and forced it to admit responsibility for the war and agree to pay reparations.

Concept note-4: -Due to this, the countries had to suffer from a failed economy, starvation and war debt, there was no strong government which was capable of solving the problems of the people nationwide. This led to the rise of the dictatorship of Adolf Hitler in Germany and Mussolini in Italy.

Concept note-5: -A main goal of the Nazi Party was to restore Germany to world power status through abolishing the Treaty. The Nazi Party cited Versailles as the root of all the crises that struck Germany. The success of Nazism depended on conflict and crisis, making the Treaty of Versailles necessary to the Party.
