What happened to the German army?

Concept note-1: -The German army was restricted to 100, 000 men; the general staff was eliminated; the manufacture of armoured cars, tanks, submarines, airplanes, and poison gas was forbidden; and only a small number of specified factories could make weapons or munitions.

Concept note-2: -Following the ratification of the Treaty of Versailles, firm restrictions were placed on the German military, most notably, the entire army was restricted to just 100, 000 men, while the navy was reduced to just 15, 000 men.

Concept note-3: -The Treaty restricted the Germans’ armed forces to only 100, 000 men in the army, no submarines or aeroplanes, and only six battleships. In addition, conscription was banned (soldiers had to be volunteers). The idea was to reduce Germany’s armed forces to a size where they could never endanger the countries round about.

Concept note-4: -"According to the German government, the case of reparations and compensation for war damage remains closed, ” said the ministry in a press release. “The German government does not intend to open negotiations on this matter."

Concept note-5: -The German army was to be limited to 100, 000 men, and conscription proscribed. The treaty restricted the Navy to vessels under 10, 000 tons, with a ban on the acquisition or maintenance of a submarine fleet. Moreover, Germany was forbidden to maintain an air force.
