Detailed explanation-1: -Acne is a disorder of the hair follicles and oil glands (sebaceous glands). The sebaceous glands secrete oils (sebum) to keep the skin moist. When the glands get clogged, it can lead to pimples and cysts. Acne is very common.

Detailed explanation-2: -If there’s too much oil, that can cause issues, like clogged pores, acne, and sebaceous hyperplasia. Stress, hormones, humidity, and genetics are some of the reasons your skin may make more oil than someone else’s. The sebaceous glands are found just under the skin.

Detailed explanation-3: -Sebaceous glands are holocrine glands found over the entire surface of the body except the palms, soles and dorsum of the feet. They are largest and most concentrated in the face and scalp where they are the sites of origin of acne (Fig. 1).

Detailed explanation-4: -If a duct of a sebaceous gland is clogged with sebum, a whitehead results. If this material is allowed to dry and oxidize, it will become darker, forming a blackhead. If a sebaceous gland becomes infected, moderate and severe forms of acne are the result.
