Concept note-1: -The Allies, or the Entente powers, were an international military coalition of countries led by the United Kingdom, France, Russia, Italy, Japan, and the United States against the Central Powers of Germany, Austria-Hungary, the Ottoman Empire, Bulgaria during the First World War (1914–1918).

Concept note-2: -One alliance included Germany, Austria-Hungary and Italy, called the Triple Alliance. Opposing them was the Triple Entente of France, Russia and England. These complex tensions finally exploded into war.
