EXPLANATIONS BELOW
Concept note-1: -Theodore Roosevelt Jr. (/ˈroʊzəvɛlt/ ROH-zə-velt; October 27, 1858 – January 6, 1919), often referred to as Teddy or by his initials, T. R., was an American politician, statesman, soldier, conservationist, naturalist, historian, and writer who served as the 26th president of the United States from 1901 to 1909.
Concept note-2: -Theodore Roosevelt was nicknamed ‘Teddy’ because that is a common nickname for Theodore. Since his father was also named Theodore, it was less confusing to have his son called Teddy.
Concept note-3: -The name teddy bear comes from former United States President Theodore Roosevelt, who was often referred to as “Teddy” (though he loathed being referred to as such).
Concept note-4: -The teddy bear is named after U.S. President Theodore “Teddy” Roosevelt. In 1902, President Roosevelt participated in a bear-hunting trip in Mississippi.
